Panic stricken, we headed towards the information counter for help. To our shock, they refused to make announcement for our missing boy! They explained that making a public announcement would put our precious darling in great danger as he would become an immediate target! A thought that never struck us till then... Lost in this foreign land, unable to seek help verbally, we were really glad that our helpless boy had his ID Wristband with him! "Passport" to Candy House - Toothbrushing

My kids love the story of Hansel and Gretel, especially the Candy House. And like most children, they have sweet tooth, whatever sweets or chocolates please them. Hence, I got very worried about their dental care. Not much of a problem when it is morning time brushing teeth. However, every evening before bedtime, getting them to brush their teeth can be rather challenging! Luckily we chanced upon these cute cartoon character toothbrush holder, since then the task seems easier!

Star Light Star Bright

It started all from getting some Children's Day gifts for the kids... We searched the on-line shops for suitable gift ideas and somehow those luminous stars caught our eyes... They were great when you stick them on the lights! Look at the effects when the lights are off!

We found another practical usage for these luminous stars... Guiding stars in the dark when our parents find their way to the toilets late at night!

Yet another of its usefulness... Motivational stars for the kids! Award a star to each good behavior or awesome performance. The kids collected all their stars in a jar and exchanged for a gift when the jar is full! Watching their enthusiasm makes me feel that my investment is worthwhile. No regrets.

Hear Me Hear Me...

Little boy was so tickled when he read this bit in one of the Enid Blyton's stories....
"Move that kettle, Saucepan Man! It's sticking its spout into me!" Joe said to Saucepan Man.
"Kettles don't have snouts!" Saucepan Man replied.
"'SPOUT,' I said, not "snouts," said Joe crossly. "Now there's something else sticking into me - a saucepan handle."
"I haven't got any candles," said Saucepan Man, mishearing again.
After laughing and giggling for a few minutes at the comical conversation, he suddenly turned a straight face and said to us that he felt that grandpa is just like the Saucepan Man, always mishearing. He asked if there is anything we could do to help instead of raising our voices?
Thus, besides getting a hearing test done by professionals, we thought that hearing aid might help. We hope that the hearing aid will help reduce shouting and misunderstandings...

What is in Thy name?

What is in a name? That we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet? Though we can call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, in reality when our parents visit clinics they need identification. Our parents- in-laws, parents, uncles and aunts found this wallet-sized Medical ID card extremely useful, whatever vital info the nurses at the counter might ask is found there! Not to replace our IC, but to supplement.
